The girls swimming team dives into this season with no mercy, breaking the 200 freestyle relay in under two minutes.

Cora Chavez (Junior), Beatriz Anaya (Senior), Cynthia Diaz (Junior), and Daniela Morales (Freshman) were the relay members who broke this record.

“We worked really hard for it,” says  Chavez. “ Especially the freshman who got really good this year.”

But as much as the whole team was happy, Ms. Cheryl Sansone, the girls swimming coach, was most proud of all the girls and their hard work this season.

“ The swimmers have been working hard throughout the season,” says Sansone. “Even though our record doesn’t show it, there were numerous personal best times in conference.”

As this season wraps up and the team gets ready to eventually say goodbye to the seniors ,the girls practice hard everyday and prepare for sectionals on Saturday, Nov. 11.
