Eisenhower varsity football team ended their overall successful season with a six point loss against Normal West on Saturday, Oct. 28.

The Cardinals lost against Normal West 36-30 in the first round of playoffs. Normal West went into the game with a record of 7-2 and a ranking of 80 in the state of Illinois. Eisenhower had a record of 6-3 and a ranking of 256.

To prepare for the game, the coaching staff and the players practiced hard, tried their best to maintain healthy diets and watched films on Normal West .

“We saw development, we saw that they were a strong team.” says Coach Moore.

Last time our Eisenhower football team went to the playoffs was three years ago with a record of 8-3, but they lost in the second round versus Niles north 35-20.

This years football team will lose some star seniors, but they will gain members from the sophomore team who finished their season with an impressive 8-1 record led by head coach John Rone and staff.
