This year Eisenhower will host the second scholarship fundraiser pep rally on Friday, March 23. At 2:15 p.m. in the main gym.

Prior to last year, Eisenhower hosted a St. Baldrick’s pep rally to raise money for children with cancer. Last year, the administration decided to host the pep rally instead to benefit our our student body.

At the pep rally there will be Eisenhower’s annual class clash. Students from all grade levels will participate in various group activities. Last year, the junior class (class of 2018) won led by Ms. Amy Berk.

“If our class can do it once, our class can do it twice” says senior Luis Torres.

Like last year, students must buy a ticket to get into the pep rally. Tickets are $1 and can be purchased during lunch periods starting Monday, March 19.

The power of words committee will be using the first 10 minutes of the pep rally to showcase famous women throughout history in honor of Women’s History Month. Mr. John Rohn will be introducing each student who will be dressed in representation of various influential women.

In addition to selling tickets, the scholarship committee is selling pop sockets for $5 which also counts as their tickets to enter the pep rally.

According to Ms. Dana Krilich, All proceeds from the pop sockets will go directly towards the scholarships.

Last year $755 was raised directly from the pep rally. 57 students in total received scholarships according to Ms. Cristal Guzman.
