Pilich Station serves up variety

If you are looking for a chill spot to eat with your friends with after school, look no further than Pilich Station Restaurant on Sacramento Ave.

Within 50 steps from Eisenhower, Pilichs provides a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

With a bit of Mexican-restaurant feel due to the menu, I decided to try the American food options so I ordered the scramble eggs and hash browns that came with a side of bread and orange juice to complete the meal.

The display was nothing exciting, but the food spoke for itself. The hash browns blended well with the warm egg. The orange juice was nothing over the top, but fitted just right. The food overall exceeded my expectations.

As for design, the one broken vase around the windows did not seem to grab my attention. Luckily, that was not the only vase there on display.

If your phone needs to be charged, power outlets are located in each booth very close to the seat. So charge up while you eat your meal as you look outside the wide windows all around, which also makes it very easy to see the school and parking lot.

The family-run business provides a warm welcome. This family operated restaurant creates a comfortable atmosphere as the workers there make you feel welcomed and very serene as very low music plays. Don’t worry, there’s also a TV so there’s always something to be entertained through.
Prices are affordable for the portion size of the food which was enough to full an active athlete like me.

So grab your friends, head to Pilich and order your milkshakes. It will make you feel like you’re at Pops Diner from Riverdale.
