Group Interpretation: Adaptation

On Wednesday March 13 the speech and drama team performed for all English classes in the PAC. The performance of Adaptation lead them to state.
Adaptation describes the life of Phil Benson through a game show. Sophomore Luis Cortes plays Phil Benson.
Junior Yessica Calderon played Phyllis Benson and ensemble. Yessica has been apart of the Speech team for three years.
The speech and drama team head to state for the third year. The team beat Richards high school which landed them second at sectionals.
Junior Erin Riley played Doris the wife of Phil and ensemble. In the performance Doris plays a typical white countryside girl that is the mother of Dore Benson.
Senior Tayvion Dorsey plays a new left speaker and Harvey a friend of Phil Benson. This is Dorsey's first time heading to state.
Sophmore Damian Verduzco plays Mark, Ensemble and Dore Benson. Dore Benson is Phil Benson's son in which he struggles to connect with his father.
Sophomore Luis Cortes plays the main character in the interpretation. Phil Benson life is seen as a game show which he struggles to go through.
Adaptation is a group interpretation performance. The performance was set during the civil rights movement.
