This past Friday, Jan. 22, the 43 members of the Express Show Choir visited local middle schools between 9 a.m.- 2 p.m. to perform their competition routine.

Express attended Hamlin Upper Grade Center, Everett F. Kerr, and Veterans Memorial Middle School located in Alsip and Blue Island.

At that time, Mrs. Tina Jacklin, Choir Director, announced to the students that anyone interested in joining Express, if they were to attend Eisenhower, should definitely try out after this season ends.

“We need them to know what we have here because it’s not something that they’ve experienced in middle school.” Jacklin states, “The nice thing is that when our show choir puts on a great product, and they see all the stuff that is available to them in high school, then it does make them want to join.”

This Saturday, Jan.30, Express will travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana to compete in the Summit Invitational at Bishop Dwenger High School.
