Stephanie Mendoza
Hi, I'm Stephanie Mendoza and I'm a sophomore. This will be my first year writing for the Red and White. I run cross country during the fall in the junior varsity team, which consists of 7 of the best freshman and sophomore runners who compete against other schools. All year around I play soccer for club teams, and during the spring I play for the school team. Last year, as a freshman I played with the varsity team. My family is a soccer family there are 6 of us and 4 of us play soccer. The only ones who don't play is my mom and youngest sister because she is just only 4 years old. One of the things I wish to do when I'm older is travel, the thing that got me interested in seeing the world is reading. Each book is in a different place, time, new people completely diverse from one another. My favorite book is called “When You Reach Me”. I've read it three times, and each of those times I felt like it was the first time I was reading it and I absolutely loved that. I want to be either a journalist or a lawyer when I get older. My favorite quote is one that my dad tells me a lot, “time heals everything, except death”.
